Neutrogena Visibly Clear Range Review (Budget Skincare)

I know I have featured these two products separately in other posts on this blog but I think it's time they had their own review. I have to admit I never bothered with Neutrogena per say because I didn't think they would be suitable for my skin problems but I was wrong. I got to try it for the first time mid last year and it has since been a staple in my skincare stash. Neutrogena has different ranges but I particularly like the Visible Clear range. The Visibly Clear range is targeted at people with skin problems like blemishes, acne, hyper pigmentation, etc so I chose it as those are similar to my skin issues. They have other products from this range but my favourite ones are the Visibly Clear Gentle Exfoliating Wash and Oil-Free Moisturiser.

Visibly Clear Gentle Exfoliating Wash
I think this may be my third tube and I don't think I would stop repurchasing this any time soon. It is a very gentle exfoliating wash as the name implies and it does an amazing job at cleansing my skin. It has very tiny micro beads which are not chunky or abrasive at all but they aid in exfoliating the skin. It is very suitable (in my opinion) for everyday use and I love to use it in the evening during my double cleanse. I strongly believe that it has helped keep my skin clear from blemishes and spots because I have had little or no breakouts since except for the odd spot(s). I also find that it does not strip my skin out after use which is really helpful because some gel based cleansers may leave the skin stripped of its natural oils which may exacerbate spots. If you are struggling with blemish prone skin and you are searching for inexpensive skincare, this is a good place to start.  Neutrogena claims that it cleanses deep into the pores and I absolutely agree with them. My skin feels super clean and less congested than when I don't use it. The best part is it costs less than £5 but it is also constantly on offer in Boots and Superdrug especially on the 2 for £5 offer. I usually stock up when it's on offer and I think it's currently on offer in Boots.

Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser
This was the second product I picked up on a whim because I needed something else to get the Neutrogena offer in Boots. I am so pleased I purchased this and I have since gone back to get more. First off, I really like the slim and sleek packaging because it is ideal for travelling. It contains 50 ml of product which means it is within hand luggage limits so you can always pop this in your handbag or hand luggage. It is an oil-free moisturiser as suggested by its name and I think that's the best kind of formula for my oily combo skin. I use this after cleansing with the Neutrogena Exfoliating Wash and I think it reinforces the good work the cleanser has started. It applies so easily and gets absorbed in seconds which is ideal when I am rushing out in the morning. Neutrogena markets this as an oil free moisturiser which hydrates, smoothes and evens out the skin tone. I have to say it is not the most hydrating formula if you have dehydrated skin but I don't have a problem with that. It contains Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid to back up these claims. I really like this moisturiser because it has helped my skin a great deal although it does take a while to do so and I don't mind. It is not fragrance free but it's not a scent that would bother you at all. I find that my hyper pigmentation/blemishes are fading slowly but more importantly, my breakouts are as minimal as ever. I have made a few lifestyle changes but these products have really helped keep my skin clear.

Personal Thoughts
What can I say? They are amazing budget friendly products that work a treat on my skin. I know many people prefer to spend a lot on their skin and I do most times but some budget friendly skin care products really work. I have used this range with La Roche Posay's Effaclar range and they are amazing together which may be down to similar ingredients in their formula. If you have blemish prone skin and/or combination oily skin, these are great products to try. Are you a fan of Neutrogena Visibly Clear Range? See you in my next post...xx
