Favourite Skincare Beauty Tools Worth the Hype

I am a big fan of beauty tools and I remember popping into Boots to buy the No.7 Cleansing Brush (I sadly don't have it again or can't find it) a while ago because I wanted something more for my cleansing routine. Over the years, I have tried quite a few beauty tools which are mainly skincare and one or two for body care. I also have reviews for majority of them so I will link them where appropriate.

I just wanted to share these tools especially now that I have used them for at least 4 years or more and provide updates. I also filmed a video which I will above. I would greatly appreciate it if you also subscribed to my channel over here.

Video: What's in my Clutch/Evening Bag?

I am sure everyone is having a fab weekend and I thought I should add a little video/blog post to your already awesome weekend. I shared with you on Monday my little haul from Whistles where I purchased two items which had been on my wish list for the longest time. So here's a little post and video on the contents of my Whistles Clutch for an evening out. I thought it would be nice to do a little different video instead of my usual talking videos and although it is not perfect, I am quite pleased with it. You can watch the video here and subscribe to my channel here as well.

I never try stuffing my clutch because I always want to look chic and effortless and it is very hard to pull that off when you have a bulging clutch so I keep it down to the barest essentials. I just pop in my Whistles Card Holder and here I keep my Oyster/Travel card, Bank card and ID and that's  me sorted on the wallet front. Next is my Chanel Les Beiges Health Glow Powder (review here) which is perfect for touch ups and does not interfere with flash photography in case I need to take some selfies or other photos.

Next is my Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush which is an all rounder but perfect for touch ups. I like that it's retractable because the last thing I want is my clutch getting stained with powder/foundation. My Perfume Atomiser from Flo always comes with me because it is always nice to smell fresh and I always top this up with my favourite fragrance or a nice mix of all my perfumes in my little perfume collection featured here. On this particular day, I wore a red lip and it was none other than MAC Ruby Woo which I have a love-hate relationship with but it has been love for a while now. Last are my Keys and my iPhone (not pictured here) which is really always in my hands. That's it folks..what are your clutch essentials?

What's in my Handbag? (New Video too!!)

It's been over a year since I updated my "What's in my Handbag?" and I absolutely enjoy reading and nosing into people's handbags because it gives a glimpse of their personality...in my opinion. The contents of my bag has changed as expected but one thing that has remained constant is my love for black handbags as I find them versatile and my love for stuffing my handbag of which I have no control over...don't judge me. In case you are wondering; my bag is the Longchamp LM Metal Tote which has been reviewed here and I love it because it fits all my essentials and it's very sturdy although it looks fragile. The best part is I made a video talking about the contents of my handbag so if you want a nosey into what I lug around with me on a daily basis..you can click here to watch the video and subscribe to my channel as it would mean the world to me. For those of you who love to read blog posts instead, I have done a small summary of what's inside my bag specially for you..

Handbag: As mentioned earlier, my current handbag is the Longchamp LM Metal Tote which is my favourite bag now because it is perfect for my lifestyle and suits almost everything I wear. I like that it's not the common style of Longchamp bag and of course, it's black which makes it super versatile. The handles are long and perfect for carrying over the shoulders. I have a full post here on the bag if you want more specific details and pictures

Notebook: This is super essential for me because I love to write and make lists and tick them off. I have once written a complete blog post in this notebook ; I am silly like that. I like this one because it is simple but good quality and I was given this at work and I am going to get more because I like it.

Sunglasses: Although Summer is on its last leg or totally gone, I still have my sunglasses in my bag because i have got quite sensitive eyes so I wear them when things get too bright or sunny. I am not sure I know what kind of sunglasses fit me yet but I got this from WareHouse and it was purchased more out of necessity than fashion. I think it was £5 and it's very good quality for the price.

Prescription Glasses: I wear contacts but I also have glasses which I wear at night. You would never catch me wearing them except you live in my flat or at home with me. It's just a necessary evil and I really don't like this particular frame but I need it so there's not much I can do about it for now until I am due for a new pair.

iPad Mini: This has to be one of my favourite devices because I take it everywhere with me and I can do all the basic things I would normally do on my laptop which is fantastic. I blog, watch videos, read other blogs, send emails, etc. It's so handy and portable although it feels a little heavy and makes my bag quite heavy as well. My case is from Cath Kidson and I love it the most even though I have other cases as reviewed here.

Makeup Bag: I have all my essential quick on-the-go makeup in here like my Chanel Les Beiges Powder, L'Oreal True Match concealer, MAC Lipstick Girl About Town, Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial etc. I never stuff my makeup bag because I just realised the only things I ever use for a touch up is my powder and lipstick/lipgloss. So, it was heavily downsized. My makeup bag is from Lulu Guinness and I am very obsessed with it at the moment.

Mobile Phones: Pretty much essential and it has stayed the same as my previous "What's in my Handbag?" post and I have two phones. One is an iPhone 5 which is my regular phone and the other is a Samsung Flip Phone (can't remember the model) which I use to call my family back home in Nigeria but these days I hardly use it as I call them on Skype, Rebtel and Voip.

That's pretty much it  (there are few others I mention in the video) and Yes, my bag is heavy for the most part but I really don't mind because all my essentials are in it. If you have done this post before, link it in the comments section; I would love to see what's in your bag and of course, find new blogs to read...x

Weekend Post: #ShineStrong Tag Video

Do you remember when I was contemplating making YouTube videos? Well, I finally did it!! Thanks to some lovely ladies Paula from ThirteenThoughts and Tilo from TiloLovesVanilla for being very encouraging. Let's just say my camera was such a hassle to film with but I eventually got a hang of it...Phew!! Then, it was time to edit...Long story cut short, I finally got around it and filmed. I am quite excited and it sounds silly but I am (don't judge me!!). Now what did I film? I was tagged by the lovely Paula to do the #ShineStrong Tag. The #ShineStrong Tag features questions around strength and some hair care questions. It was an interesting tag to do because you also learn about other people and I watched a few of these tags and it's interesting to know that we, women, are quite similar irrespective of what part of the world we live in and I think that's beautiful.

#ShineStrong Tag Questions
1. Finish the sentence "Strong is......"
2. What's the bravest thing you've ever done?
3. What do you do to unwind?
4. What's the one thing you've always wanted to learn?
5. How does your bff (best friend forever) #shinestrong?
6. What natural talents would you want to be gifted with
7. What is your idea of happiness?
8. What is your motto?
9. What is your ultimate #shinestrong hairstyle?
10. Finish the sentence "I love good hair days because...."
11. Share your best tip for strong, healthy hair
12. Finish this sentence "I #shinestrong when I....."

If you are interested on seeing what my answers were, you can click here or watch the video directly from the blog post. I forgot to answer the last question : "I #shinestrong when I am with my immediate family and boyfriend because I can totally be myself and my true self is the silliest person you can ever imagine". I tag everyone who has not done this tag and I would see you in my next....x
