November 2015 Favourites

Wow, I cannot believe we are already in December. I know people hate it when people harp on and on about how short the months or year has been but it really has. It has been quite a whirlwind year but I am very grateful to God for everything. I've had a lot of favourites this month because I have been testing out a ton of products. However, I don’t want to bore you all so I try to whittle it down to my absolute favourites and perhaps share the others in a Currently Loving Post. ..

Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders*// Link // £22.50
I tried this out back in September/October  (review here) and I absolutely loved it and still love it. I still have a little left so it came with me to my recent trips to Scotland and it really did my skin some good. I already have a full review here so I won’t waffle too much. I am really tempted to buy the full size set but I do have quite a lot of products to get through so I am trying to be a good girl. If you are after a nice glow and some good chemical exfoliation (without irritating your skin), this is definitely one to try.

Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb and Rose Body Lotion*// Link //£25
I got this lovely Body Lotion back in April (review here)  and I still use it. I do have quite a few body lotions but this one is one of my favourites. Whenever I use the matching shower gel, I ensure I finish it off with this body lotion. It feels very moisturising, absorbs well (no greasy feeling whatsoever) and it smells gorgeous. I love that it comes with a pump so it is very easy to dispense. You can see I am running dangerously low on it so I may just pick up a back up. (Elys in Wimbledon is running 15% off all products so I may have already purchased it when this post goes up). I already repurchased the shower gel which I also adore.

Body Shop Frosted Plum Shower Gel// Link // £4
You may remember my post on Christmas with Body Shop where I was kindly gifted some products from the Frosted Plum Collection. Having tested the entire collection, I decided to purchase the shower gel which smells so delicious. I got it along with the Glazed Apple Shower Gel which I would be showing you in another post. I also got the matching body lotion and I love to pamper my body with them. I am sure you are wondering why this one is full. Well, it is actually my second bottle which is crazy. The first one is almost finished and I left it in Scotland so I purchased a backup on my way back because I could not be without it. I really recommend trying it out.

Sanctuary Spa Eye Makeup Remover// Link // £7
I only discovered Sanctuary Spa skincare line in Boots and I am absolutely in love with them. I plan to do a review of some of the products I picked up so keep your eyes peeled. I particularly love the Eye Makeup Remover because it actually works.  Plus the packaging is one of the best I have seen from the drug store. It looks so cute, very practical and minimal waste (just ensure the lid is kept tightly shut). It  is a biphase eye makup remover (has two layers -oil phase and water phase). You do need to shake it up well to ensure the two layers are well mixed. It is one of my favourite eye makeup remover which removes even waterproof eye makeup. It works so well and very affordable and it is one I recommend.

By Terry Baume de Rose Lip Balm// Link // £39
I already showed this lovely lip balm in my By Terry Haul here. I heard so much about this Lip Balm so I was so excited to buy it when the time came. I do think it is worth the hype although it is quite an expensive purchase. I have used it pretty much all through November and it has worked a treat. It is definitely a treat purchase but it is one you won't regret. It contains quite a lot of product in the jar so you won't be running out in a while. I love how easily it absorbs, moisturises my lips and keeps them plump. It can be used the night before or during the day before makeup. It always works so well every time and I have not been disappointed at all.

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer// Link // £10
I am so delighted I have finally found a good drug store primer that does a decent job of keeping my face shine free for a good part of the day. Granted it may not be the cheapest out there but it sure does better than some high end primers I have tried. It goes on pretty smoothly, does not feel dry or tacky and it helps my makeup last so much longer than without it. I am keen to see how well it would work during Summer when my shiny skin lets it self loose. However, it is definitely one to check out especially when Boots have an offer.

NARS Taj Mahal Blush// Link // £23
I picked up the NARS Taj Mahal Blush back in October and I am still obsessed with it. It is also another Blush I was lusting after for a really long time and I finally took the plunge when I was in Duty Free. It is the perfect blush for dark skinned toned ladies and I just love how it gives my skin a sun kissed look even in the A/W season. And Yes, a full review will be up soon. I have taken photos already so watch out for it soon. It's really beautiful and it does not have any dodgy glitter; just a straight talking glow.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette// Link // £15.50
I have been lusting after this palette for a really long time after seeing it online for ages. I resisted for a long time but I just had to give in. Guess what? It was sold out on Beauty Bay when I eventually made up my mind and I was so annoyed. Thankfully, it came back online and I quickly snagged it before it was sold out. It is indeed worth all the hype and more especially for the price. It cost only £15.50 and I can't fault it at all (plus it was free delivery from Beauty Bay). It is the perfect Fall Season Palette and anyone who loves a warm eyeshadow palette. I love the packaging, the way it is versatile and how pigmented it is. Of course, a full review with swatches will be on the blog soon. I am just trying my best to get through all my draft blog posts.

Sigma Brushes*
I was kindly sent a selection of Sigma Brushes and I absolutely love them. Now I understand what the hype is all about. I am not saying this because I am an affiliate because I would buy these brushes in a heartbeat. I particularly like the eye brushes as they do such an amazing job. I particularly like the Medium  Sweeper Shader Brush E54 which I have been using every day since I got it. I love how dense it is yet it is flat enough to fit my eyelids and deposit eyeshadow precisely. The Blending Brush E39 is fluffy with adequate control so it also does a precise job while the Mini E-55 Shader brush works similar to the E-55 but it is smaller so it comes with me on my trips. They are absolutely worth checking out. I think I would have a full post on these lot on Monday (fingers crossed)

Overall Thoughts
I had a whole lot more favourites last month but I have only included the ones I loved so much.. It has been an amazing year so far and I am very excited to get to the end of the year. My absolute favourite combination has been the Body Shop Frosted Plum Shower Gel and the Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb and Rose Body Lotion*. I just smell like a delicious candy whenever I use them together and I can still smell this amazing combo on my skin during the course of the day!! Hope you enjoyed this post and see you in my next. What was your absolute favourite product in November?...xx
