Favourite Morning Masks

I love using my masks on my face because they just infuse some radiance and glow. There are different kinds of masks out there and I will hopefully do a dedicated post on all my masks soon. For today, I am just going to talk about my current favourite morning masks. Now, these masks can be used any time of the day you fancy but I reach for them in the morning because they work quickly. I don't know about you but I don't usually have a lot of time in the morning to be faffing around with a face mask. I usually reach for a mask that will freshen up my face, give me some radiance and just mask any tiredness (especially if I have not slept well). I don't use a mask every morning but I have been reaching for them more often now that the weather has changed. I usually just pop on my mask after I have cleansed my face, brush my teeth and take a shower. Once I am done with these morning essentials, I either rinse of my mask or hot towel it off and complete the rest of my skincare.

Ark Hydration Injection Masque* //Link // £35  (Review)
This is one of my absolute favourite masks both for mornings and evenings because it is really hydrating. It's a good all rounder mask but I find myself reaching more for it in the morning because it also adds some radiance to my face. It contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and other ingredients but I feel these 3 ingredients make it an incredible mask. The body converts Vitamin A into Retinol which has many skin benefits including skin cell renewal and anti-aging. Vitamin C helps fade hyper pigmentation and infuses radiance to the skin while Hyaluronic Acid is known for its hydrating properties. I love that this mask has a balm-like texture which feels soothing to the skin and I feel very pampered whenever I use it. I reach for this whenever my skin feels and looks dull and needs some radiance.

REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial //Link //£32
I can't believe I have not spoken much about this mask even though I have totally enjoyed using it. I think it was first launched a few years ago and I really wanted to try it. I purchased it from Marks & Spencer during their Boxing Day Sales in a set and I have been loving it since then. REN describes this mask (or 1 Minute Facial) as a transforming treatment that instantly revitalizes and rejuvenates the skin. I totally have to agree although I would not say it takes 1 minute at all. Its chief ingredient is Vitamin C which adds a glow and radiance to dull skin. I usually leave this mask on for around 7-10 minutes or however long it takes me to take a shower and brush my teeth. The first time I used it I felt a slight tingling feeling which surprised me but made me feel it was working. This mask definitely wakes me up as I am not a morning person at all. My skin feels quite firm and tighter whenever I use this in addition to helping my skin look really radiant.

Roger & Gallet Aura Mirabilis Extra Fine Cleansing Mask* //Link //£15 (Review)
I already spoke about this dual purpose mask a few days ago but I could not help including it again because I love it. It's actually a makeup remover/cleanser but it also doubles up as a mask and I think that's amazing. It has a gel-like texture which transforms to a balm/oil texture once it hits the face. It is infused with 18 distilled/officinal plants (you can check out the complete list here) so it is quite an exotic mask. It smells incredible and I am really into masks that smell nice especially as they are going to be on my face for a good while.  I love how it is so easy to apply and it actually feels quite luxurious on the skin. This is one mask that totally rejuvenates my skin and I always look so fresh whenever I use it. Surprisingly, it also helps calm any redness or breakouts that may be trying to cause havoc and that's why I love it. I call this my feel good and pamper mask and I reach for it when I am just feeling a bit meh. It totally helps perk me up.

Overall Thoughts
I love all these masks and I rotate them through out the month. I just use whatever mask I fancy depending on what I feel my skin needs. I may do an evening mask post because that's when I treat my skin for blackheads, breakouts and blemishes. Let me know in the comments box below what masks are your favourites (both morning and night) so I can check them out. Have you tried any of these masks? See you in my next post.

  1. I love the REN Flash Rinse when I have time for a little extra step in the morning! I've actually ended up using the Roger and Gallet for a cleanser more than anything - it's just so good at removing makeup

    1. The REN Flash rinse is a little gem isn't it? I really enjoy using it. I still love the Roger & Gallet as a cleanser but I can't help reaching it for it on some mornings as a mask. It's a really lovely product...xx
