Roze Mountain Skincare, Bath and Body Products Review

I love trying out new and smaller brands especially indigenous ones because I know they put in a lot of love into their products. I was very kindly contacted by Roze Mountain asking me try to out some products from their range. I had not heard about the brand before but I checked out the website and I loved what I saw. I was sent a variety of products from their range. I've had these lovely products for a pretty long time and this review should have been up ages ago so I am very glad I can finally talk about them now.

Brief Overview of the Brand
Roze Mountain is a botanical Indie Beauty brand which focuses on formulating and developing skincare products that deliver real value. The Founder (Morgane Rozenberg) believes that formulating is both a science and an art and it requires scientific knowledge, research skills as well as creativity to bring to life your dream product ! The great thing is that all their products are cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, halal-friendly, eco-friendly. kosher-friendly; just name it, they have it covered. Roze Mountain is constantly rebranding the products and I love seeing the progress the brand is making. You should follow their page on Instagram and Facebook to see new launches. They also offer custom formulation consultation so if you were ever thinking of creating your own skincare brand, Roze Mountain could help you with that because the founder is also a Certified Organic Cosmetic Formulator. You can find out more about it over here.

Packaging
I love the packaging as it is simple and functional. I love the amber bottles which protect the products from degradation and I particularly love the candle packaging as it is cute and easy to travel with if you love travelling with candles. The brand has now switched up their packaging which looks even better and I love it. You can check out their Instagram page if you want to see what the new packaging looks like.

Roze Mountain Plum Rose & Patchouli Soy Scented Candle* // Link // £18
The Plum Rose & Patchouli Candle is one of my favourites from all the products I've tried and it just smells divine.  It is made with non-GMO Soy wax infused with fruity and floral notes. The great thing about this candle is that it is hand poured and burns evenly. It has really lasted me for a long while considering how often I have burnt it. It has a really soft pleasant fragrance which you can smell in a room but it is not very strong. I think it is great that it does not smell too strong as it is meant to be a relaxing scent. Now that it is Winter, I have been burning it more often. It does not tunnel which is a great plus for me because I can't deal with candles that tunnel. I particularly love the size because I can travel easily with it and the tub/jar is so pretty so it will definitely be used on my dresser.

Roze Mountain Soothing Face Serum Oil for Oily Skin*
I was very skeptical about trying another oil for my skin as I do prefer regular serums as opposed to serum oils. My skin is combination oily so I tend to avoid using too much oils because they sometimes break me out. However, I was quite keen to try this oil out because it is called a Serum Oil for Oily Skin. I know that using the right oil even with oily skin can help balance out the oil levels in the skin. First off, I love the packaging as it is quite dainty but very easy to use through the pump. It completely reminds me of a spa and it's such a pleasure to use. In terms of texture, it is a proper oily oil in the sense that you can definitely feel that you are using an oil on your face. I won't classify it as greasy but you can definitely feel it on your skin however it does sink in after a while. I opt for it more at night because I think it will interfere with my foundation. Using it at night means I wake up to really radiant skin and my skin also feels super soft which I did not expect. I did not break out from using this serum oil which is a big plus considering the slightly heavy texture. I have been reaching more for it now that the weather has changed and it has helped my skin a lot to retain its radiance. If you have dry skin, you will absolutely love this oil. If you do have combination oily skin or straight up oily skin, I will recommend it probably starting with  a small amount and building up depending on how much your skin loves it.

Roze Mountain Bath Salts*
When we moved to our new house, we were delighted that there was a lovely Jacuzzi bath tub in one of the bathrooms and I told myself I will take a nice relaxing bath every week. Did that happen? Not a chance but I do make an effort every now and again. I tend to take showers more often than baths. However the few times I have run a bath, I have used the Roze Mountain Bath Salts and they totally made my bath even more relaxing. I am so obsessed with bath salts/crystals because they look so beautiful with their various shapes. I love the blue colour of these bath salts because they add a slight blue shade to my bath water and reminds me of the ocean/sea. The only thing that bothers my OCD self is the tiny black herbs which I am not a fan of although they give the bath salts their unique fragrance. I am so naughty and I take them out after a while because I just prefer the blue shade. The great thing is the bath salts retain their gorgeous fragrance and dissolve so well in the bath water. No blockages at all and I will highly recommend trying them out.

Roze Mountain Regenerating Chapped Lip Balm* // Link // £5
This is also one of my favourite products from the lot I was lucky to try out. I don't own many balms because sometimes they are so greasy and feel heavy on my lips. I prefer light lip balms that just sit right on my lips, moisturise my lips and keep it plump and I am delighted to say that the Roze Mountain Regenerating Chapped Lip Balm ticks all the boxes for me. I like that it comes in a bullet form so I don't have to dip my hands into a pot. It is very handy and it has to be my most used lip balm in 2018 and even till now in 20189. I barely notice it on my lips although I can see its full effect on keeping my lips from cracking/being chapped/dry. It has a slight pleasant fragrance and although it is a light pink shade, it does not add any colour to the lips. I tend to use it on its own (when I am going to work) or as a base for other lipsticks especially matte lipsticks and lip stains. It is one of those products I will repurchase when I run out and I will highly recommend trying it out. If you suffer from chapped/dry/cracked lips, say hello to your new lip best friend especially this A/W season.

Roze Mountain Romantic Massage Oil*
I am such a huge fan of anything massage and relaxation and I was intrigued about this massage oil. It comes in a spray bottle which allows for a great application of the oil with minimal mess. I particularly like that it sinks in without feeling greasy on my skin for too long. It smells absolutely gorgeous and very relaxing. Some of the ingredients include: Macadamia Oil, Jasmine, Patchouli to name a few. I love using this oil as a body oil especially now that it is Winter because it just leaves my skin feeling glossy and smells so glorious. I know it is meant to be a romantic massage oil but I have converted it to a general body elixir. It also works great with regular body lotions as it helps the skin retain moisture and infuses a great fragrance to any lotion I mix it with. I will highly recommend checking it out.

Roze Mountain Bath Oil*
I already mentioned I am more of a shower girl but the few times I take a relaxing bath, I have used the Roze Mountain Bath Oil and I love it.  You only need a few drops and its beautiful scent really calms me down and just changes up my bath time. It comes in such a cute bottle which makes it really easy to travel with. While the bottle does not have a stopper or pipette, I have not experienced any mess when travelling with it because the lid is very secure and can be used to measure the perfect amount of oil needed for your bath.

Overall Thoughts
I have to say I have been really impressed with these products and they honestly surpassed my expectations. If I had to pick my absolute favourites from all the products I have tried, I will definitely recommend the Regenerated Chapped Lip Balm, the Romantic Massage Oil and the Plum Rose & Patchouli Candle. I am so grateful I was able to try such a lovely brand. Will you be trying any products from the brand? Let me know in the comments section.

Apple & Bears Luxury Gift Set + Giveaway + Discount Code

I love body care products and I have pretty much stuck to my four favourite brands for a good while.  Last month, I was contacted by Apple & Bears introducing me to their brand and asked if I would like to try out their products. Of course, I was curious because I had never heard of the brand so I went onto their website to check them out. First off, I love the name- Apple & Bears. I found out they are a natural and organic brand and my interest was piqued. I was very kindly sent the Apple & Bears Luxury Gift Set- Honey & Hemp* and I have enjoyed it. They also kindly offered to give one lucky reader the same set I have as well as a 15% discount code for all my readers. I will leave all the details below.

Brief Overview of Apple & Bears
Apple & Bears is a family owned and operated British brand that have developed luxury natural and organic beauty products using high quality ingredients. They are all produced here in the UK so they have greater control of what exactly goes into each product. They also adhere strictly to ethical values and social responsibility to the environment which is always good to know that brands care about these things. You can find out more about the brand over here.

The best part is they are official partners of Breast Cancer Charity and they donate 5% of their profits to the charity. I think that's such a great cause to support and I know everyone knows at least one person who has or is currently experiencing breast cancer. All the products have a cute little pink ribbon on the side and they briefly talk about the charity.

Packaging
I quite like the packaging of the luxury gift set especially of the bottles themselves. I love the white theme and illustration on each bottle. It is definitely the kind of body care product I love to see in my bathroom. I am so pleased that the Body Silk bottle has a pump to allow for easy use. I wish the Body Wash came with a pump too. That would have been absolutely perfect!! The luxury gift set box in itself is quite sturdy and you can see the contents of the box behind it. I think this will make a great Christmas gift and all I would do is just tie a ribbon and I am done.

Honey & Hemp Luxury Gift Set* // Link //£34.95
Inside the luxury gift set, you get the Honey & Hemp Body wash (300ml) and the Honey & Hemp Body Silk (250ml). It smells lovely and natural as expected from a natural and organic brand.. I think the blend of Hemp, Honey, Aloe Vera and Anise among other ingredients gives the range a great balance. The Honey & Hemp Body Wash lathers really well and it works great with my loofah. The Honey & Hemp Body Silk really feels very luxurious and smooth on the skin. It's not called Body Silk for nothing because it really has a silky feeling to it but definitely not greasy. It gets absorbed well and gives the body the right amount of moisture needed.

Where to Buy + Discount Code //Link
I believe Apple & Bears are currently only sold on their website here. Their stockists can be found here and they are available in the US, UK, Europe and other parts of the world which is impressive.   They offer free shipping for purchases over £18 which seems reasonable. I am excited that they are offering a giveaway and a discount code. For a 15% off your purchase, use discount code "FASHSTYLELIV15".

Roger & Gallet Perfumed Soap Review

If there's one brand that knows its onions when it comes to body care and fragrance, it has to be Roger & Gallet. I have used various products from their collections and they have always been impressive. Their perfumed soaps are one of the best I have ever tried. Roger & Gallet don't play around when it comes to perfumed soaps because they are really intensely fragranced. Of course, they do the job of cleansing the body, too. I was sent a lovely surprise package from their PR a few months ago and you may have seen them featured on my Instagram a couple of times. I really wanted to share this post about these gorgeous soaps because I know they will make great gifts without breaking the bank.

Packaging
In addition to how amazing the fragrance in these soaps are, they come in such dainty pretty packaging.  The box in this post is a PR package one however these soaps are sold in either individual packaging (mini box) or in a gift set and gift box. The great thing about these boxes is that they can also be used to store the soap when you are travelling and still look cute.  I love the design of the PR package I was sent because it is reminiscent of Paris. It is colourful, feminine and playful. Everything down to the inner wrapping paper is so gorgeous. The fragrance from these soaps even comes through the packaging so you don't have to guess what these soaps smell like before purchasing. Most importantly, they make such incredible gifts and you don't have to do any extra wrapping as they are ready to go.

Brief Overview of the Roger & Gallet Perfumed Soaps
I believe there are 11 perfumed soaps in the entire collection and it's so difficult to pick one fragrance because they smell so good.  Initially, I purchased the Jean Marie Farine Set (which came with a matching perfumed soap). I was kindly sent the Fleur de Figuier Perfumed Soap along with the matching Body Cream. A little while ago, another lovely package arrived so beautifully presented and it contained 3 more perfumed soap. I felt very spoiled but grateful!! I have the following perfumed soaps: Gingembre*, Rose*, Cedrat*, Fleur de Figuier* and Jean Marie Farina.

According to the Roger & Gallet website, these perfumed soaps are produced using a unique manufacturing process which combines an intense fragrance with an infinite softness. I can't even begin to tell you how well made these soaps are and they have such incredible quality for the price. One thing that stands out to me is how long lasting these soaps are. I grew up using soaps instead of body washes/shower gels so I have used many soaps including fragranced ones. However, I find that many soaps get really messy after a few uses and it makes it quite difficult to enjoy using them as they become slippery. The Roger & Gallet Perfumed Soaps never get messy no matter how careless I am in the bathroom. They retain their shape all through and that's why they are my favourite soaps ever. The best part is that they are so intensely fragranced that you may almost think you are bathing with a perfume (I know that sounds exaggerated but that's really how I feel). Some of my regular body washes/shower gels don't even smell half as good as these soaps. The fragrance in each soap lasts the entire lifespan of the soap. These soaps lather well and give my body a nice cleanse. It just beautifully ticks all the boxes for me and I will highly recommend trying them out.

Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Range* //Link //from £6.50
I just had to include this collection in my review because it is my favourite collection from Roger & Gallet. It smells so heavenly and every single time I use the perfume, I get loads of compliments. I have written a review about the Fleur de Figuier Perfume here which incidentally is the first EDP from Roger & Gallet. The rest of their fragrances are EDTs but believe me, you can't tell because they al last for such a long time. I was sent the Fleur de Figuier Body Lotion*, Fragranced Soap* and Precious Replenishing Balm* at different times through this year. I may have featured them in separate reviews but I just wanted to talk about them all in one post. The Fleur de Figuier Fragrance is one of my all-time top 10 fragrances. This is actually my second bottle so you can imagine how much I reach for it. The Fleur de Figuier Body Lotion smells so luxurious and it's long lasting just like the fragrance. It has a lovely light texture and I used it all through Summer because it gets absorbed quickly into my skin without any greasy residue. Now that it is Winter, I have switched to the Fleur de Figuier Precious Replenishing Balm. It smells exactly like the fragrance and it lingers so beautifully on my skin for a good while through the day. I have almost finished the entire tub and will be restocking soon. I have not used my Fragranced Soap yet because I am saving it for my next city break. I love that it comes in its own separate packaging which makes it travel-friendly.

Roger & Gallet Jean Marie Farina // Link //from £6.50
My other favourite collection from Roger & Gallet  is the Jean Marie Farina. I got this set from John Lewis and I loved having the fragrance in a set with the matching perfumed soap. It was not a fragrance I instantly fell in love with but it totally grew on me and now I reach for it a lot. It is one of those fragrances that is unisex and I love that. I find myself reaching for it now that the weather is colder and I prefer richer fragrances. I would describe this fragrance as very refreshing, zesty with a tinge of sexy musk. It has a strong citrus vibe which is why I tend to reach for it now that it is Winter because it reminds me of Summer. The top notes are Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Neroli, Petitgrain and Rosemary while the base notes are Cedar wood, Sandalwood, Myrtle, Cedar, Vetiver, Musk and White Amber. I can see why it can work as a nice unisex fragrance. It smells very sexy without being in your face.  I love the design of the bottle and it feels like a blend of vintage meets modern design. The red theme makes it such a perfect gift for Christmas.

Where to Buy // from £6.50
The great thing about Roger & Gallet is that they are easily accessible. There are affordable and make one of the best gift sets (beautifully wrapped, if I might add). You can check them out on the Roger & Gallet website however I don't think you can purchase directly from them. Instead, you will be linked to other retailers to purchase. I usually purchase my Roger & Gallet from the following websites: John Lewis, Escentual, M & S, Feel Unique and House of Fraser. I am sure there are other retailers but these are my favourite ones. They always have offers on so make sure you look for those offers.

Overall Thoughts
Now that the festive season is here, I know many people are either finishing off their Christmas shopping or maybe starting theirs. I personally prefer to buy gifts that are already well wrapped or beautifully packaged.  If you are like me and prefer ready-to-go gifts which are beautifully packaged, I will highly suggest trying out the Roger & Gallet gift sets. If you are after stocking fillers, these perfumed soaps will make an incredible gift. I hope you enjoyed this post and see you in my next one.
