Since last year, my interest in organic and natural beauty products has increased and I've been getting really good opportunities to try them out. I was super delighted to be invited to a Highlight and Contour Masterclass by Nude by Nature via Handpicked Media. Like most people, I usually highlight and contour my face when I wear makeup but I never go overboard. However, I wanted to learn how to do it so naturally and effortlessly so I was counting down to the masterclass which was held last month. I was even more excited because we were also going to try the new Nude by Nature Contour & Highlight Collection*. I got there slightly late (5 minutes or so) and the venue was packed with bloggers and other beauty enthusiasts. The best part was everything was already set up and I wish I could just film my makeup tutorials in this set up. It was absolute perfection, I tell you, complete with a beautiful slanting mirror. I definitely need to get that mirror for myself for just doing my makeup because it's just perfect!! Anyway, each station was set up with the gorgeous mirror, the new Nude by Nature Contour & Highlight Collection and Brushes to help us do the magic. There was also some refreshment (all organic if I might add) which was super thoughtful of them. The Masterclass started with an introduction from representatives from Handpicked Media and a presentation by representatives of Nude by Nature who told us more about the brand and talked us through the new collection.
Brief Overview of Nude by Nature
Nude by Nature is an Australian brand and is known as the number one mineral makeup brand especially known for their cult products. The brand's philosophy is creating makeup that's good for you and they achieve that by using natural Australian ingredients including native Australian Kakadu Plum, Quandong and Cehami Extract. The Australian Kakadu Plum contains the world's highest dose of Vitamin C while Cehami Extract is renowned for its renewing and hydrating effects. I was all for trying these makeup products and was curious to see if they catered for darker skin and yes, they do. Amazing!!
Nude by Nature Contour & Highlight Collection
The Contour & Highlight Collection features a Natural Contour Palette,* Highlighter Palette*, a Contour Fluid Trio, 3 Touch of Glow Highlight Sticks* and 2 Expert Brushes*. It's a really beautiful collection and the packaging is gorgeous. Anything rose gold is always a winner for me and I love how well made these products look. I find that some rose gold packaging tend to look cheap if they don't choose the right rose gold hue but I am so delighted that the lovely folks at Nude by Nature chose the most flattering one. The collection is designed to allow people embrace and define their natural features and contours and I have to say it does what it says on the tin. You can check out Nude by Nature Makeup including this new collection on the Nude by Nature website, Feel Unique, ASOS, etc.
Once the presentation was over, it was time to get into the masterclass. There was a lovely model for the makeup artist to demonstrate all the little tricks and tips to get a natural contour/highlight look. She started off with light strokes for the contour area and built it up and the model's face looked flawless and super natural. One good things about this collection is that you can hardly go overboard even if you are a makeup beginner. I find that some contour powders come off very pigmented and if you are not careful, you would look muddy. Thankfully, that's not the case with the Nude by Nature Contour palette which has been my go to palette since I got it. The makeup artist moved on to highlighting the high points of the model's face using the the Touch of Glow Highlight Sticks and the Highlighter Palette. The end results was gorgeous and it was time for us to recreate it for ourselves. I didn't take any pictures of myself but I will be showing you how I recreated the look in my review of the Nude by Nature makeup this week.
It was a super enjoyable event and I met some amazing people and reunited with Lynda from wonderlusting.co.uk. She is an amazing blogger who loves all things natural and organic and you can find posts on organic makeup and even food recipes on her blog. Check her out on Instagram and Twitter and I promise you'd love her. Soon, it was time to go home and we were gifted a lot of goodies from the range. I will be reviewing them this week so watch out for the post. Spoiler Alert: They have become a staple in my makeup collection particularly the Contour Palette and the Highlight Palette and I love how multi functional they are for me. Massive thanks to Handpicked Media for inviting me to this lovely event. That's pretty much it (why do I say this every time; I can't help myself). I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you tried Nude by Nature Makeup?
