Body Shop Frosted Plum Range Review

It's no secret that I am a big fan of Body Shop and I love how much they revamped many of their products last year. More importantly, I look forward to their Christmas collections which are usually limited edition until the following year. Last year, they did not disappoint at all and they had three beautiful ranges including the Frosted Plum, Frosted Cranberry and Glazed Apple. I was invited to the Body Shop Christmas Event last year where I was gifted some products including some bits and bobs from the Frosted Plum range. I was so pleased when I saw them in my goody bag because it was the best range (in my opinion) that I tested out that evening. I only tested them a few times before I was back in-store to purchase more products from the range because a) I am obsessed with the range and b)It's limited edition and I don't want to be without them. The Frosted Plum Range has a number of products within the range including a Shower Gel, Shimmer Body Lotion, Body Butter, Bath Fizz, Lip Balm, Candle, Shimmering Mist, etc. I literally had to reign myself in when I went back to purchase some more products because they all looked divine. Meanwhile, if you are interested in purchasing them, now is the time as some of them are discounted (50%) so go, go, go!! Anyway, back to the review..

Frosted Plum Shower Gel// Link // £4
I have quite a few shower gels but this one's fragrance really makes me so happy. It smells obviously of plums and it feels divine on my skin. The good thing about is it works so well at cleaning my body. You get a good lather but it feels quite different from some other shower gels I have tried. The best part is the fragrance lingers on my skin when I am done and I love it. This is actually my second bottle because I left the other one in Scotland.  The BF is also obsessed with it and he is not even into shower gels; so that says a lot about how amazing it is.

Frosted Plum Shimmering Body Lotion// sold out but it may be available in-store// £12
This is also a firm favourite for me as it goes so well after I use the shower gel. It does have some shimmer in it which I am not a fan of  to be honest. However, I love the fragrance so much that I find myself reaching for it especially whenever I use the matching shower gel. It does a good job at moisturising my skin and it does not leave a greasy feeling at all. I feel it is the perfect moisturiser for people with oily skin. If you have dry skin, I think you would also like it  as well although the Body Butter may be slightly more moisturising.

Frosted Plum Body Butter*// Link // £14 (now £7)
If you have dry skin or you suffer from dry skin during the winter, you would absolutely love this. It smells incredible just like all the other products from this range and it does an amazing job at keeping my skin moisturised. I particularly love to use it around my elbows and knees which gets pretty dry quickly. It's very similar to all  other Body Shop Body Butters i terms of texture but it smells even better. I really like this size (the one in this picture is a smaller size) because it means I can pop it in my bag whenever I travel and believe me, a little goes a long way. If you have a choice between the Body Lotion and the Body Butter, I would suggest the Body  Butter instead because it does not have any shimmer and it's slightly more moisturising for Winter.

Frosted Plum Sugar Scrub*// Link // £15 (now £7.50)
I am always tempted to taste this Body Scrub because it just smells delicious. It is essentially a body scrub with sugar granules to help exfoliate the skin in a non-abrasive way which I love. I don't really like over exfoliating my body during winter because my skin can sometimes get quite dry. This is the perfect scrub for winter as it gently exfoliates the skin while leaving a lovely fragrance as well. It does not leave my skin dry at all. I use it in when I am in the shower especially around my elbows and knees (first places to show tell tale signs of dryness). It's not very thick which may make it slightly difficult to use but I am used to it now.

Frosted Plum Bath Fizzer*// Link //£12
This is one of the products I have not used yet because I am more of a shower girl than a bath girl. I would be testing it out this weekend hopefully. However, it smells absolutely incredible and you can smell it even if you don't open the jar. I particularly like that the cubes are a good size and you also get a good amount inside. I reckon you can use one or two per bath but I would update this post when I get to use it. I have heard many good things about it and I guess it's quite popular as it's not even discounted yet.

Frosted Plum Shimmer Mist*//  sold out but it may be available in-store // £8.50
Whenever I hear mist, I always imagine a very light fragrance that disappears after a short while. That's not the case with these Shimmer Mists from the Body Shop. First off, the bottle looks so pretty and it's definitely something you want to display on your vanity. It's a glass bottle which is very weighted so it's not very travel friendly. However, it smells so beautiful, lasts a pretty long time and you really don't need to reapply it. I am really shocked at how long lasting it is and it has some shimmer at the bottom which gets dispersed when you shake it up. It looks like a crystal ball when you give it a little shake and it really makes the bottle so cute.

                                                    Glazed Apple Range// Link
I am sure you are wondering "What's the Glazed Apple range doing in this post?". Well, my lovely friend Sal from UmmBaby's Blog ( she has an amazing blog and Instagram account which is to die for) mentioned on my Instagram photo that she is obsessed with the Glazed Apple range. We both have very similar taste and I always go by her recommendation. Anyway, I went in store and smelt this and I was like now I know why Sal loves this. I did not go crazy as I only picked up the Shower Gel and the Body Mist. They are very similar to the Frosted Plum collection but with a different fragrance obviously. I am now thinking I should have got the Body Butter or Lotion and I may get it before it gets all sold out as I think it is limited edition.

Overall Thoughts
That's pretty much the low down of the Body Shop Frosted Plum range. I think they are limited edition which means they may not be around for too long. If you are thinking of testing any of them out, this is the best time to snatch them up as they are heavily discounted now. I think your best option may be to pop in store and purchase them because many of them are sold out online.  If you are obsessed like me, you may want to restock for when it is no longer available. I hope you enjoyed this post and see you in my next post. Have you tried any product from the Frosted Plum range?

    1. I also like Glazed Apple and I wish they were all permanent ranges instead of just Christmas but I guess that's what makes the season special. Yes, do try them out when next you are in-store...xx
